Claude Town Inbox is a personal tool used only by its owner, Kevin Yonathan, with his own Google account.
With the owner's consent it uses the Gmail scopes gmail.readonly and gmail.compose. It reads message headers and bodies of unread mail, and it creates reply drafts in the owner's Drafts folder.
Mail content is processed on a server the owner controls. Parts of a message are sent to an AI model (Anthropic's Claude) only to classify mail, summarize it, or write a draft the owner asked for. The data is not sold, shared with anyone else, or used for advertising. It is not used to train AI models.
Short summaries of mail are posted to a private Discord channel that only the owner can see.
The app keeps message IDs and short status flags (for example, whether a reminder was sent). It does not keep message bodies in its database. Chat session files that may contain message text are deleted after 24 hours.
It never sends email, deletes email, or changes labels. Its access to the internet is limited to Gmail and Google's sign-in service.
The owner can remove access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which invalidates the app's token immediately.
